In 1897 Thomas E Webb,the eldest son of Thomas W Webb, started a new crystal company with George Harry Corbett at the White House Glassworks and they registered the trademark "Webb-Corbett" the same year. They soon became one of the best known English Crystal manufacturers, gaining many commission, especially from shipping companies. This ensured their crystal was perhaps some of the most well travelled crystal in the world.
