Emerald Green 21" Flash Overlay Glass Lamp

A wonderful Emerald Green crystal lamp which not only has a light within the deep shade but also one in the stand - to give it that extra dynamic effect.

Created with the use of overlay glass (also known as flash glass).  Clear crystal is coated with emerald green glass and then the artisan cuts through to reveal the clear crystal underneath.  The pattern is made up starburst and pinwheel design preferred by Bohemian craftesmen.

Please be aware this is not a small item, it stands 54 cm high (over 21") and the bowl is over 29 cm wide (nearly 12").  A real statement piece.

When turned on the effect is stunning (see second photograph), casting a superb lighting effect of pretty pinwheels and starbursts.

 The lamp takes bayonet fitting light bulbs and the 3 pin plug is for UK useage and whilst it is in full working order we would recommend that it is checked over by an electrician (a recommendation we have to stipulate).  Would recommend it is rewired totally if purchased by an overseas buyer.
The lamp comes in two pieces, the base and the shade which is easily clamped into place to ensure its safety

I have checked it carefully for damage and all I can find is a slither taken from the inside of the base see last photograph -which does not detract in my opinion.  Less than the expected signs of surface wear considering this item is over 50 years old.
